About

Restore is a Birmingham Churches Together project supporting refugees and asylum seekers. Restore seeks to welcome, include and assist integration into British society, particularly through befriending and social activities.
Restore’s befriending scheme involves the matching of volunteers with asylum seekers to provide one-to-one support. Our social activities include a holiday programme for refugee families, a toddler group for parents and small children, and events for lone asylum seeker men and women.
Restore also seeks to raise awareness through training courses, speaking engagements, participation in church services and school assemblies, and information briefings.
Restore assists refugees to become more job-ready through running an ‘Equipping refugees for work’ training course to help participants learn more about the UK work environment and how to apply for employment.
